Grower Listening Session – Ellsworth

February 2 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Three people stand on a work boat loaded with large white bags on a calm body of water near a forested shoreline; text reads "LISTENING SESSION: Ellsworth.

Maine Aquaculture Association wants to hear from growers!

Our annual listening sessions are coming up in early February, a chance for all industry members to voice their concerns to MAA, align our priorities, and help guide our shared future. You do not need to be a member of MAA to attend.

Maine Aquaculture Association was founded in 1978 and our priorities have always been informed by industry feedback and our organization primarily funded by farmer membership. The listening sessions will be facilitated by MAA staff, but the conversations will be guided by the attendees. These listening sessions can include topics including policy and regulations, public education and marketing, information sharing and best practices, business support, and any other topics or challenges farmers wish to raise.

There are three listening sessions spread throughout the coast:

February 2, 4-6 PM, Ellsworth, Moore Community Center, conference room
February 5, 4-6 PM, Freeport, Freeport Community Services
February 12, 4-6 PM, Rockland, Rockland Public Library

In the spirit of honesty and transparency, MAA will take notes of the meeting for staff use, but MAA will not publicly attribute feedback to any one individual.

Light food and refreshments will be offered. To get a headcount, please RSVP if attending.

NOTE: These meetings are open to all growers, not just MAA members.

Please share this event with any growers in your network and direct any questions or desired topics of conversation to Alison Feibel alison@maineaqua.org.
